Mr. Frelinghuysen Goes To Trenton

250 years ago the summer of 1775 saw the First Provincial Congress of New Jersey, offering New Jersey an alternative legislature to the General Assembly called by the Royal Governor. Frederick Frelinghuysen, father of the Gen. Frelinghuysen whose historic home is now the Raritan Public Library, represented Somerset County and served this Congress as an assistant secretary.

Follow Frederick Frelinghuysen from the Old Dutch Parsonage of Somerville and Gen. Frelinghuysen House of Raritan to the Provincial Congress of New Jersey at Trenton in 1775.

The Raritan Historic & Cultural Committee host this program at Raritan Public Library.
