Battle of Monmouth Reenactment

Bring your family to the annual Reenactment of the Battle of Monmouth sponsored by Friends of Monmouth Battlefield. This is an exciting living history weekend celebrating the 248th Anniversary of the Battle of Monmouth. Travel back in time to the American Revolution and the year 1778 where the Continental and British armies are preparing to do battle for the future of our nation.

Gates open at 9:00 AM with activities beginning at 10:00 AM.  A suggested donation of $15.00 per car is requested to help cover the costs associated with the event.

Experience two full days of military men at arms, cannons, cavalry, civilians and more.  Besides the reenactment and soldier camps, there will be several talks and historical presentations both in the camps and the Visitor Center. Living historian Stacy Roth will present her acclaimed portrayal of Molly Pitcher.   In addition, there will be children’s infantry and cannon drills. Sutlers and vendors will have a myriad of wares for you to peruse and buy.  Historical exhibitors from multiple organizations (Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, Revolution NJ, etc.) will be on hand as well.  In case you get hungry, several food vendors will be on site.

Handicapped parking is available. Come early for a full day of living history.
