Defense of Little Egg Harbor

Hear about the kickoff of our local 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution and how the events of June, July and October 1775 relate in history to the battle of Oct. 15 1778 along modern Radio Rd. at the historical port of Little Egg Harbor. The Ceremony: Solemn commemoration including flag lowering and wreath-laying.  Historical narrative is offered of the Defense of Little Egg Harbor in the American Revolution. 

This year’s ceremony will be preceded by an outdoor ‘open-house’ at the Monument including a big update of new historical research findings about the Oct. 15th battle as part of a three-year archive-based program, 'Little Egg Harbor History as It Happened' introducing the public to the Facts.
