First Oval Office Project

  • Liberty Hall 1003 Morris Avenue Union, NJ, 07083 United States (map)

Join us for a festive weekend! In partnership with the Museum of the American Revolution, Liberty Hall is proud to host the hand-sewn reproduction of the sleeping and office tent used by General George Washington during the American Revolution. The weekend is filled with reenactors, crafts, lectures, a historical figure costume contest, a historical monument design competition, opportunities to interact with other local historic sites, games, and more!

If you are interested in seeing General George Washington’s original sleeping and office tent from the Revolutionary War, it is on permanent display at the Museum of the American Revolution in historic Philadelphia.

This program is made possible in part by a 2026 HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.

Recommended for all ages. Reservations are suggested; walk-ins welcome.
