Alice Paul Institute
The Alice Paul Institute educates and empowers girls and young women to view themselves as leaders, encourages civic engagement, preserves Alice Paul’s childhood home, and advocates for the passage of the ERA which, when enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, will give legal and lasting equal protections to people of all genders.
American Labor Museum
The American Labor Museum advances public understanding of the history and contemporary issues of work, workers and the labor movement throughout the world, with special attention to the ethnicity and immigrant experience of American workers.
Hoboken Historical Museum
The Hoboken Historical Museum (est. 1986) collects and displays artifacts in themed exhibitions on Hoboken history and offers educational programs, lectures, tours and hosts films and plays. The Museum’s summer exhibit will be “Benedict J. Fernandez, Photojournalist: From the Hoboken Shipyard to the Campaign for Civil Rights.”
New Jersey State Museum
With holdings of more than two million artifacts, explore collections in natural and cultural history, archaeology and ethnography, and fine art at the New Jersey State Museum.
T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center
The T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Centers preserves the home of journalist and activist T. Thomas Fortune. Their mission is to preserve and further the civil rights and social justice legacy of T. Thomas Fortune through community outreach, education, the arts, and public programming.
