This program and residency from iDance Ministry demonstrates how NJ revolutionized both American Independence and Hip Hop Culture by blending history, Hip Hop culture and the arts. As part of New Jersey’s 250th Celebration of the Declaration of Independence, this Revolution Reimagined residency will end with a "Night of Justice" which features the performing arts, Hip Hop culture and history.
By reimagining the American Revolution, it becomes relevant and relatable. The program draws powerful parallels between New Jersey’s role as the crossroads of both the American Revolution and Hip Hop Culture.
This program was created by María Daniel, Founder and Artistic Director of iDance Ministry. It is sponsored in part by iDance Ministry, RevNJ, Mayor Josh Losardo (via the Township of Scotch Plains), the Scotch Plains-Fanwood BOE, the Union County History Grant and Social Justice Matters.
